Wedding Photography at Swansea Marina & Civic Centre | Natalie and Simon

I certainly got to end the strange year of 2020 on a high as Natalie and Simon finally got married and said their vows to each other at Swansea Civic Centre. Their wedding was less than one week before Christmas Day and was 6 hours before the announcement of another lockdown in Wales - talk about good timing! Their hard work of rearranging their entire wedding paid off as they got to spend their day with their closest family and friends. After an intimate ceremony at the Civic Centre in Swansea we made some group photographs just outside and then the couple and I headed up towards the beach for a few images on Swansea Bay. Natalie wore the most idyllic white velvet cloak as we made some photos amongst the trees opposite the Civic Centre. The rest of the wedding party drove over to Gallinis Italian Restaurant to warm up and start the celebrations. Due to the current restrictions the wedding reception had to finish by 6pm and no alcohol was served and I have to say the Gallini's team made the celebration seamless as everything was perfect and well thought out to keep Natalie and Simon's wedding celebration complete with cake cutting and a first dance!

Weddings are different at the moment but what's important is that couples do what is right for them. I was so grateful to be part of such an intimate wedding day even if they looked different to their original plans it couldn't have been more beautiful. I feel thankful to be able to continue to do my job, in whatever capacity I could. Their day was everything a wedding should be: closest family and friends, full of love, happiness and most importantly, two people committing their lifelong promises to one another. It couldn’t have been a better day.
