Winter Wedding at Oxwich Bay Hotel: A Beautiful Humanist Celebration
Winter weddings hold a special charm, with crisp air, cozy atmospheres, and the promise of new beginnings wrapped in the season’s beauty. This winter, I had the incredible pleasure of capturing another stunning humanist wedding conducted by the wonderful Margaret aka The Gower Celebrant at the Oxwich Bay Hotel in the Gower.
One of the most touching aspects of this wedding was the humanist ceremony, which was personal and full of meaning for the couple and their guests. Margaret speaks so eloquently and gave a beautiful and bespoke ceremony of Mike and Kirsty and allowed the couple to infuse their ceremony with their own values, personalities, and stories. The ceremony felt both timeless and uniquely theirs as they shared their personal vows to one another and shared a sand ceremony with their son Tristan.
The winter sun shone all day which was a welcome surprise after a stormy lead-up to the wedding, and just as quickly as it had arrived, the following day we returned to grey skies and rain, the timing of the weather was just right!
Kirsty and Mike's beautiful wedding at Oxwich Bay Hotel was a truly magical day. Kirsty was incredible as she ventured out - heavily pregnant, in the cold January sun - down to the water's edge for some photos. It was worth it because they were gorgeous and the lighting was incredible. Kirsty even managed to do tons of dancing before she opted for some very comfy and colour coded slippers for the rest of the evening (see photos for wedding slippers!). Congratulations again to Kirsty and Mike, wishing you a lifetime of happy memories with your young, expanding and beautiful family. Thank you so much for having me!
